An introduction to American Mahjong, thoughtfully designed for the brand-new player. Over the course of four weekly 2-hour sessions, you'll be guided through the foundations of the game in a supportive, welcoming setting where questions are encouraged, and you have plenty of time to practice. We'll cover everything you need to start playing with confidence, each lesson building upon the last. You'll learn: 🀄️ How to identify tiles and suits 🀄️ Set up and play a game 🀄️ Complete the Charleston 🀄️ Navigate the NMJL Card and build hands 🀄️ Understand beginner strategy 🀄️ Practice proper mahjong etiquette Your series includes: 🀄️ This year's official NMJL Card ($15 value) 🀄️ Four 2-hour lessons with guided play and game practice 🀄️ Light bites and drinks 🀄️ A small completion gift for players who complete all four sessions No previous mahjong experience is necessary. By the conclusion of the series, you'll leave with a solid understanding and the confidence to continue developing your game through guided play. Consider this your invitation to the table!
